We are very lucky to work in fashion and not work in a hospital or something … Where the biggest deal we come across is perhaps the length of a skirt.

ask me who i love the most. there is no one else.
So there I was, standing between two of the most beautiful women in the world, talking about arguably, two of the most beautiful men in the world, and I was thinking, ‘What the fuck am I doing here?’

“There’s just so much beauty, but it’s not superficial because it’s really inspiring to women and to people. It’s teaching ourselves and it’s playing and it’s trusting; it’s not thinking what’s right or wrong, we’re so stuck on what’s right or wrong.” - Lori Goldstein
Conventional wisdom these days states that fashion should be accessible to all. I couldn’t disagree more. My philosophy is that fashion is not for the weak of heart. It’s intimidating, as it should be. Couture is no place for amateurs, poseurs, or the proverbial “man on the street.” If everyone was fashionable, no one would be.

What I hope for is that we stop looking backwards and start moving forward. That’s why it was really important for me to do FIT. I want students to be able to see how things were made, or are made, or can be made. What good is it just sitting in my closet. That gives me hope. Because I’ve never stop being curious. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever been jaded.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Stacy London. She’s no high-profile celebrity or big-shot model, but she’s REAL and HONEST. And she GETS IT.
